Dry and/or chapped lips? This natural lip balm will leave your lips feeling smooth and moist. Pucker up! Lip balm is very quick and easy to make. Plus, it makes a great gift.

  • Prep: 5 mins
  • Cook: 5 mins
  • Yields: 8 1/2 ounce tins or 20 lip balm tubes

Ingredients

1 ounce beeswax

1 ounce coconut oil

1/2 ounce Vitamin E oil

1/2 ounce olive oil (or 1 ounce for a softer lip balm)

8 1/2 ounce tins or 20 lip balm tubes

Directions

1Combine all ingredients in a microwave safe container.

2Microwave for 1 minute.

3Stir well to mix.

4Microwave another 1-2 minutes or until beeswax is completely dissolved.

5Stir well

6Carefully pour into 1/2 ounce tins or lip balm tubes

I use a small pyrex measuring cup with a spout.
Be sure you are using heat resistant lip balm tubes (if not using metal tins)
1/2 ounce metal tins may be purchased from Mountain Rose Herbs
Cools fairly quickly; approximately 15-20 minutes. The clear liquid mixture turns foggy as it hardens/cools
